We don't want you to miss these great events!
NEW EVENTS THIS YEAR....
Georgian Bay Rowing Excursion (August 21-23)
A two-night rowing excursion for adults to a beautiful cottage on rugged windswept Georgian Bay. Your job is to take in the scenery from one of our rowing shells, from the dock and from the trail, and our job is to do the rest. Treat yourself to an experience you will never forget.
Row Across Rosseau (Sunday May 31):
We've done this row with Rosseau Lake College for a few years, but this year we're opening up to others! This day long trip starts at Hatchets Rowing Centre in Port Carling and ends at Rosseau Lake College after rowing all the way up the lake.
Mid Week Afternoon Rows (Wednesdays in July):
Mid week in the summer, we take advantage of long afternoon rows to explore areas of the Muskoka Lakes in open water rowing shells that we don’t get to see in our daily lessons. Come ready for lots of rowing, chatting and improvising as we adventure around Lake Rosseau, Joseph and Muskoka.
AND OUR FAVOURITES FROM OTHER YEARS...
Rosseau Time Trials (Saturday May 23):
Muskoka Spring Time-Trial - 1km and 3km. Morning time-trials followed by lunch. Families are welcome to watch the races and stay to eat! A great event for scullers of any age to get a jump on the spring season, and to row on beautiful Lake Rosseau.
Indian River Relay (Tuesday August 11):
Our annual local regatta! If you’ve just started rowing with us - this event if for you! If you’re rowing competitively with us - this event is for you! It is a fun morning of mixed team racing with no previous experience necessary. A great chance to meet everyone who rows at Hatchets!
Muskoka Poker Run (Saturday August 15):
22km Race for singles only. Poker Run Style. If you missed it the first year, you don’t want to miss it again. For those who have raced before … now you know the course. Starting at Hanna Park in Port Carling, this 22km race takes you down the Indian River and to five docks at the top end of Lake Muskoka and back to retrieve a full poker hand.
