COMPETITIVE PROGRAM OUTLINE
NEVER ROWED? ROWED A LONG TIME AGO? ROWED AS A JUNIOR SCULLER AND WONDERING WHAT’S NEXT? INTERESTED IN RACING? JOIN OUR COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS!
This spring, we have expanded our Competitive Programs in order to accommodate those that have come up through our Junior Scullers as well as those crossing over from other sports.
EACH COMPETITIVE PROGRAM CAN HOLD A MAXIMUM OF 6 ROWERS, SO DON’T WAIT TO REGISTER!
ACCELERATE - For those who want to get into training for racing, but who don’t have the rowing skills to be able to train yet. This takes you from Learn to Row, up until you’re ready for our COMP 1 Program.
COMP 1 - This is for those with sufficient skill to train to race. These are rowers that have passed the Junior Scullers Levels, those who have come through the Accelerate Program, or those who have learned to row elsewhere and would like to train to race. This program includes 2 on water practices a week and 2 workouts to be completed individually.
COMP 2 - This is a high volume summer competitive training program to make speed and technique differences in order to race faster and smarter. This is a 5 on water practices a week program with 6 workouts to be completed individually per week.
SPring Programs Start May 20th, 2025
All of our programs will start up right after the May Long weekend - which is coming faster than we think! COMING THIS SPRING…OUR COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS ARE LIMITED TO 6 ROWERS EACH AND 12 FOR JUNIOR SCULLERS TO DON’T DELAY!
Our LEARN ROW programs are by appointment, call or email us to register!
Our FITNESS ROWING sessions will be Monday and Wednesday mornings (Tuesday the first week) and Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Let us know when you’d like to join!

Our COMPETITIVE PROGRAM is expanding, and we’ll be offering an ACCELERATE program to get new rowers ready to train for races quickly, as well as running our COMP 1 program - training for some really fun races this season! For more information please call or email us. We’re excited to expand our competitive offerings this year!
Reserve Now to Stay and Row
As many of you that rowed with us from out of town may know, right above Hatchets, there is a short term Boathouse Apartment. If you row with another club and you’d like a change of scenery, and to train on beautiful muskoka waters, it is an ideal spot to stay and row. We have daily rows at 6am, 7:30am, 8:30am, 9:30am and 10:30am - so you can take your pick of rowing times in the morning (but book early to get the time you want). Then enjoy all Muskoka has to offer from your apartment right in the heart of Port Carling. Book early both for the apartment and the rowing to make sure you save your spot for next season!
