Last Weekend's Hatchets Hat Trick Weekend
Muskoka Poker Run
The first day of the Hatchets Hat Trick weekend was a blast! We kicked off the weekend bright and early with the Muskoka Poker Run at 6am. The weather was perfect - no wind, no waves at all! It felt like we had all of Lake Muskoka to ourselves!
Indian River Relay
We then rowed right into the Indian River Relay at 10am where four teams of rowers raced around the first green buoy and back! Team 1 with Kathy, Blake and Scarlett kicked it off against Team 2 with Molly, Michael and Jeremy! Then Team 3 with Gavin, Bonnie and Monte rowed against Team 4 with Lily and Robinx2! All the teams were timed and Team 2 were the winners at a time of 14 minutes and 12 seconds! We had a close second place with Team 4 coming in at a time of 14 minutes and 31 seconds! Congratulations Molly, Michael and Jeremy and awesome job to all rowers!
Row to Windermere
After a well-deserved sleep-in on Sunday, we then took on the Row to Windermere with a quad and two open water singles! David, Monte, Lily and Robin started off in the quad with Gavin as the Coxie and Bonnie and Natalie rowed the singles! A few hours (and a few swims) later -- we made it to Windermere House! We stopped for a picnic lunch on the grass in the shade and grabbed a few scoops of Ice Cream down by the water! After switching up the seats on the way back, we made our way to Port Carling for a very refreshing swim (and some log rolling) to finish off the weekend!
Log Rolling Challenge
This Saturday is the LAST Log Rolling Challenge of the Summer!
We've had so much fun with these challenges every week and it's been awesome watching all our log rollers improve all summer long! If you haven't had a chance to join in one of our Saturday afternoon competitions, (and if you have!), join us at 3pm this Saturday and lets make this last one a ton of fun!

This week's focus is Stretching and Breathing! Stretching every day is super important for posture, balance, mobility, and strength! Stretching your muscles helps them grow longer and gives them more room to grow bigger! Breathing through your nose allows the air to be warmed, humidified, pressurized and conditioned before it even reaches your lungs, which makes absorbing oxygen easier!
